Co-Lab Thursday: The Bloggers Collaboration...TV

I can't believe that it is Thursday already. For today's Co-Lab Thursday I am collaborating with my fellow bloggers on the theme TV.

Now many of you that live in the UK may have watched Britain's Got Talent and saw the most inspiring women that shocked not only the panel but the nation as she performed a Salsa routine that involved mind blowing lifts and drops. If you didn't see it then you will be thinking what is so special about this woman. Well she is 80 years of age! If you missed it check it out here.

Watching this really got me thinking about another program that I watched on Channel 4 last year called Fabulous Fashionistas. The program looked at 6 woman that had an average age of 80 and how they are not conforming to society's view of how they should be.

For me, I found these stories really inspiring as these women ain't afraid to express their love for fashion and dance. We live in a society that is obsessed over beauty and age... everyone is always looking for the next youth preservative and believe that the older you are the more you should be a shrinking violet. Why can't we grow to old embracing our natural beauty and expressing ourselves in ways that give us pleasure.

I take my hat off to these women as they are trying to change the way that we think. I really find these women inspirational and I really had to share their stories with you as I knew you would all feel the same way.

I would love to know what you think. Do you find these women inspirational?

Things That Inspire: Sunday Stroll

It was a beautiful day in London yesterday and I decide to take a walk. At the beginning of this month the Olympic park in Stratford was finally opened up to the general public, so I thought that I would wander down and check it out.

The park was truly beautiful and full of laughed as family's had fun playing in the water play areas and climbing walls. Although there is joyful noise from the families playing, the park also has a peaceful and calming influence on you. Perfect for thinking about my next post.

As I wandered around this stunning place I started to take some photos that I just had to share with you all. What do you think?

I love this park so much and I can say as someone that lives in the area that it is so nice to have a relaxing green place to go and contemplate life in.

I will be making many trips to this park and next time I think I will be taking a picnic with me!

Will you be paying a visit to the park or do you have a park near you that you like to go to and think?

Here is today's Sunday Soundtrack, the round up of songs that Blog Behind The Look can't stop listening to while writing all of our features.

Every Sunday we will be adding 5 songs that we love to create our soundtrack to 2014.

The talented Illustrator Erica Luke has now become our partner on this feature. She will be designing a illustration every month. This month Erica has been influenced by the beautiful cherry blossoms that have just opened up in Tokyo where she is currently visiting.

This week the 5 songs that we have had on repeat are ...

2. Ellie Goulding - Burn
3. DJ Cassidy ft. Robin Thicke & Jessie J - Calling All Heart
4. Jason Derulo - Stupid Love
